Our Leadership Team

As the senior vice president and general manager of USIC's Advanced Utility Solutions Division, Dane leads USIC’s family of companies, which includes Blood Hound Private Utility Locating, Reconn Utility Services, and On Target Utility Services. He joined USIC in March 2022. 

A proven business leader, Dane most recently served as senior vice president, U.S. operations for Prosegur, a global supplier of security services and technologies, and previously held executive operational roles at Contemporary Services Corporation, a leader in public safety management for large, complex events. He has also served as an infantry officer with the U.S. Marine Corps. 

Dane earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and is a graduate of Harvard Business School's CORe program. 

Relying on more than four decades of experience, ten of which have been at Blood Hound, Tracy works closely with clients to ensure they have a safe and efficient program to safeguard subsurface utilities.  

Tracy serves as vice chair of NIPSCO’s Cooperative Contractor Safety. He has presented at notable conferences, including the Common Ground Alliance Conference, Midwest Damage Prevention Conference, and the Purdue Road School. With a 30-year career in the finance industry, he most recently served as senior vice president at KeyBank.  

Tracy enjoys spending time with his wife, their four children, and two dogs. His hobbies include reading, writing, and rooting for his favorite teams: the Bengals, Colts, and Reds. He holds a bachelor’s in economics from DePauw University. 

With more than two decades of experience, John has built a robust career in the utility industry, which includes seven years with Blood Hound. 

John joined Blood Hound with experience as a production control manager in manufacturing. Before rising to director level, he has held positions as a district manager and regional director for USIC and Blood Hound.  

Outside of his professional commitments, John enjoys golfing, farming, and spending quality time with his family. He attended Ashland University and Lorain County Community College 

Jordan joined Blood Hound in 2019. He brings extensive expertise in the utility damage prevention industry to his role, ensuring clients receive top-notch service in private utility locating.  

An experienced safety administrator, Jordan served as a regional director at USIC for over 20 years, gaining thorough experience in public locating. As a principal pipeline safety leader at the gas distribution company UGI Utilities, his responsibilities included damage prevention and incident command training. Prior to that role, he served five years in the U.S. Army as a combat engineer, which included experience in building and construction site management. 

Beyond his professional life, Jordan enjoys attending concerts with his wife, playing golf, and spending time with his adult children.  

With more than a decade of experience, Jessica has built her career on meeting customer needs and providing exceptional care. As a call center manager, her professional skills encompass hiring and training personnel, providing ongoing coaching, evaluating staff performance annually, and preparing work schedules to ensure sufficient call volume support. She facilitates seamless collaboration between the call center and outside teams. 

Her education includes extensive on-the-job training, through which has built the skills, confidence, and knowledge to lead her team. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her dog and her family. She is an active volunteer in her community and enjoys cooking.

Mark joined Blood Hound in 2018 following ten years at USIC, Blood Hound’s parent company. From his start as a locate technician, Mark worked his way up to field supervisor and then training development leader.  

His professional skills and educational background make him a strong environmental health and safety manager. Mark holds a bachelor’s in environmental science from Unity Environmental University of Unity, Maine and is a U.S. Army veteran.  

When he’s not at work, he enjoys boating, fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, traveling, and spending time with his family. 

With a career spanning over two decades, Matt has developed extensive expertise in the locating industry, which helps him deliver exceptional classroom and training experiences for new hires and current employees. 

His professional background includes management, supervisory and training roles to help manage field staff efficiency. He has instructed courses in ground-penetrating radar, GPS surveying, and other training classes. Additionally, he has developed field training exercises and computer-based training programs.  

His education includes coursework in business management and additional certification training through Staking University in Manteno, IL.  

Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his family and grandchildren, hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, and riding his motorcycle. 

Nick is a skilled professional in underground utility location and 3D technology. As a Part 107 certified pilot, he specializes in photogrammetry and LiDAR using unmanned aerial vehicles, or drones. He began his career as a utility locator at USIC and has been with Blood Hound for five years. 

Nick is dedicated to continuous learning. His technical proficiency spans a variety of software and languages, including Bentley Context Capture, Blender, Unity, QGIS, C#, Python, Cesium, Flask, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS. He has experience creating orthographic photos and 3D digital twins. 

In his personal life, he enjoys spending time with his family and developing new applications.

Driven by a desire to foster innovation and collaboration in the locating industry, Michael joined Blood Hound in 2022. He contributes a wealth of expertise in electromagnetic (EM) locating and ground-penetrating radar. Michael is skilled in training, development, and technical support.  

As the geospatial program supervisor, Michael leads and manages a team of geospatial technicians. He stays abreast of technological advancements and explores new tools, techniques, and applications. 

Michael has trained in geospatial mapping programs and computer-aided design (CAD). He is passionate about continuous learning through reading and self-education. When he’s not working, he pursues personal growth to enrich his life professionally and personally.
